Privacy Policy

GW2 Raid Bingo (“the bot”) is a free Discord bot and website run by a hobbyist operator. This policy explains what it stores and how to have your data removed. It stores as little as possible - only what it needs to run a bingo game and remember your card.
What the bot stores
- Your bingo cards. When you join a game, the bot records your Discord user ID, the squares dealt to your card, which ones you have marked, the game, instance and server, and timestamps. This is what runs the game and the leaderboard.
- Website login (optional). If you log in on the website with Discord, the bot
stores your Discord user ID, username, and avatar for your session. The session
cookie holds only a hashed token, never your Discord credentials. Login uses Discord's
identifyandguildsscopes; your server list is read once, at login, to show which servers you can play in, and is not stored. - Server configuration. The server ID, the announcement channel, the bingo-admin and participant role IDs, the IDs of the bot's own posted messages, and any games you schedule (with the ID of the admin who scheduled them).
- Bingo squares. The square texts a server admin adds with
/bingo-data. These are written by your server's admins - the bot does not generate them.
What the bot does not do
- It does not read, store, or process the content of your messages. It uses no privileged Discord intents.
- It does not track you, show ads, profile you, or use any analytics.
- It does not sell or share your data with third parties.
- It stores no email address, IP address, payment information, or real-world identity.
Why it stores this
The only purpose is to operate the bot's features: dealing and remembering your card, running the game and its live sync between Discord and the website, showing the leaderboard, and keeping a history of finished games. There is no other use.
How long it is kept
- Cards and games are kept as that server's game history so past results and winners stay viewable.
- Website sessions expire after 30 days, or immediately when you log out.
- Server configuration and squares are kept while the bot is in your server.
Deleting your data
- Log out on the website to end your session immediately.
- A server admin can remove squares with
/bingo-data removeand abort games. - For deletion of data tied to your Discord user ID, or a whole server's data, contact the operator (see below).
Where data lives
Data is stored in a local SQLite database on the operator's own server and backed up locally. It is not hosted with a third-party data processor.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above will change.
